Entry 13: "My Struggle Lately"

Hey ya'll,

With the christmas season coming around everyone is getting ready to celebrate the wonderful birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. This year is going to be very different from last christmas because my father was called to Iraq and won't be here for Christmas. He has been gone since early January this year and won't be back till early Feburary next year. 

I am so proud of my father for fighting for his country and accepting this hard trial even thought it isn't what he had in mind for 2009. It has been hard on us to live without him and have him gone for so long, but i can have a peace of mind because i know that my dad is in God's hands and that can't get any better. 

So anyway i have been down lately and these verses i found have encouraged me a lot! I hope they are able to encourage you in some way also.

Deuterononmy 31: 6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear of be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Entry 11: "Wait For Me!"

Being a young teenager girl it is sometimes such a struggle to stay pure for my husband. It is hard to be patient!  I know there are many people out there, men and women, that are trying to stay pure, and i want to encourage you by saying, "DON"T GIVE UP!" Be patient and stay pure so you can give your husband/wife your WHOLE heart! I know it's hard and sometimes feels like it is just purely impossible! But God is there to help you along the path and He is your true bridegroom! He is the only one that is truly satisfying!

Entry 10: "Weird Question!"

Okay so i'm editing my profile and i see at the bottom they ask you a question so i click to get a question and they give me one. It was so weird i couldn't think of an answer! so i thought i would leave the answer up to you guys and see what your thoughts on the matter were!

Question: Describe the sound of a moist waffle fallling onto a hot griddle.

If you any of you guys out there could think of an answer i would love to hear it. i seriously don't know what to answer!

Entry 9: "Today's Happenings"

Had a great day today! Last night had a sleepover at Jenn's house, which was a blast! Came home and worked on finishing history homework for tomorrow and did some math. At about 6:00 i headed over to a friends house. They were having a open house for a woman who makes lotions, body soaps, hair soaps, air fresheners, and all those kind of smelly things. I bought some and I am so excited! I love getting smelly stuff! HMMMM!

I just finished my school and am sitting on the couch with my sister, Rachael. In a couple minutes we might watch a movie before we head to bed. : )

Tomorrow we are having our history christmas party! i'm so excited! we are going to have a Jeapordy game, ethnic food, gift exchang, and lots of fun! It has been a good week and hopefully will continue to be that way!

Entry 8: "What Life Would Be Like Without Them"

Had a great night with my sister, Rachael, making christmas cards for friends and family.  The table was covered with paper, stickers, scissors, and pens while our faces were covered with smiles. Looking at her smiling face i think of how blessed I am to have her as a sister. As i sit there I try to imagine what like would look like without her and it wasn't pretty.

Thinking about this brought me back four years ago when i was in Barnes and Noble book store. I was playing in the kid section and i met this boy about my age. We started talking and after a few minutes i asked him how many siblings he had. His face suddenly fell and turned sad. I wondered if i had said anything wrong. He replied and said that he was an only child. I didn't really know what to say.

After we left the store I thought about what it would look like to be a only child. I do so many things with my siblings. Play music, scrapbook, play outside, watch TV, play games, and just talk in general. My life would be so boring if i didn't have them to do those things with.

Sometimes i think, "Why can't i be an only child and just have time to myself for once!" Then i realize that, yes i would have time to myself but what would i do?? I would like it for awhile and than i can picture myself sitting around doing nothing with no one there. 

So i guess i was able to remind myself tonight that siblings are one of the best things in my life and that no matter how much they bug me and nag me, life will always be better with them right by my side.

Entry 6: "Scrapbooking"

Wow, full day today! Woke up at 7:00, got ready for church and headed off! Had a awesome day at church. We sang our first Christmas songs today and it was so awesome! i love christmas songs!  The sermom was very encouraging and great as usual.

After church i went home with the Micah and his family to their house so him, his mom, and i could all scrapbook together! it was fun! i had a great time with him and his mom! They are two great people, and since i have known them they have encouraged me so much in my walk with the Lord! Here is a group pic after we were all done scrapbooking!

Once we were done scrapbooking, after a few hours, we left and headed to our Pastor's christmas party at his house! Pretty much the whole church was there and it was a great party! We all got to hang, have fun, laugh constantly, and make awesome memories!

Today i woke up, got out of bed, looked out the window and i saw SNOW! i'm so excited! Maybe we will have a white christmas after all! i will try to get some pics on my blog before the day is done. Today should be a little busy, but i'll do my best!

Entry 2: "Christmas Shopping!

Helllo Friends!
Today I spent shopping at the mall with my sister and best friend.  We had a awesome time christmas shopping for each other and others! My heart was full of joy with Christmas spirit. Decorations, music, pictures, the whole deal! I love the feeling of Christmas where you can snuggle up under a blanket, with your family, next to the fire and watch your favorite christmas movies, sing your favorite christmas songs, play games and spend quality family time together!

Even though we were shopping for gifts to give and reciev,e i hope that all our hearts are most excited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! 

I hope ya'll are having a great time getting ready to celebrate Christmas! I know I am!

Entry 1. "Sing Praises!"

The Bible talks about many different kinds of worship but one of my favorites is the worship of song.  I have been singing since I could talk and my siblings actually can tell my mood by whether I am quiet or bursting out in song.  Tonight, I'm going with friends and family to our church to prepare for this Sundays music. It has been  such a joy to be on my churches music team. I have gotten to know a lot of people, had a lot of fun, but most importantly I have been able to glorify God with the gifts He has given me!

Sometimes we can catch ourselves thinking that our talents and gifts are ours to do whatever we want with, but who gave us those gifts? God gave us those and He can take them away! So the least we can do is use the gifts and talents to glorify Him and make His name great! I pray that will be the attitude that will be in all our hearts tonight!
